OPEN PROGRESS PRIVACY NOTICE
Open Progress Corporation and OPro Inc. (collectively “Open Progress”) provides a marketplace that allows individuals and campaigns to connect as well as a SaaS solution that allows campaigns to reach interested individuals on social media. Open Progress respects the privacy of all users of our Web sites (including www.openprogress.com or www.openpr.gg), Web-based software products, and related online services (collectively the “Services”). Open Progress is committed to honoring and protecting the personal information of our donors, supporters, volunteers, and Web site visitors.
This document outlines the information we collect and explains how we use and disclose that information as well as the choices available to you.
Information Collection and Use
We collect information you voluntarily provide to us, which includes your first and last name, e-mail address, cell phone number, fax number, physical address, social media information, and any other information you choose to provide such as survey information or site registrations.
We also collect information about how users interact with our Services, such as the requests they create, campaigns they run or join, how individuals engage with those campaigns, whether they volunteer for a campaign or attend an event, and what pages visitors access or visit.
We collect information about your browser and device, including user agent string, operating system, IP addresses, and unique identifiers assigned to the device.
We may also obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through our Services. For example, we may collect information about you from third parties, including our business partners, social media companies, other advertising companies, and publicly available sources
Use of Collected Information
We use the information we collect to provide, customize, and improve our Services. We may also use the information we collect to contact you about issues you may be interested in or information about our Services.
Disclosure of the Information We Collect
We share information between our users. For example, when you volunteer for a volunteer organization or a campaign, we share your personal contact information with the administrative users of those groups. We also share your historical record of fulfilling your volunteer commitments to help the event organizers plan for event capacity management. Such organizations may contact you in accordance with their policies both directly through our systems and through other methods.
We periodically share information with our trusted partners and clients, particularly for features that allow the automatic syncing of data across systems. Events that are created in our system can be automatically shared and syndicated to other systems such as Facebook, NGP Van, Meetup, Eventbrite, and Nationbuilder. Volunteer sign-ups for a specific event can automatically populate the event sign-up lists in those other systems.
If you are an organization, Open Progress’ standard Terms of Service Agreement [https://www.openprogress.com/terms-of-service] requires you to consent to Open Progress occasionally revealing your organization’s name for the purpose of testimonial or reference, or for use in our advertising and marketing media. To request privacy or removal of your name from our materials, please contact us using the information below.
We disclose the information we collect to vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work or perform services on our behalf.
We also disclose information we collect when we believe such disclosure is legally required, to enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Open Progress, our users. We may also disclose information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of our assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company.
Open Progress takes reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. However, no transmission over the internet or electronic storage can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any data.
Upon request we provide users with access to contact information we hold about them. To make such a request, contact us using the contact information below.
Any and all mass e-mails sent by our mail servers have an unsubscribe link. We will process all unsubscribe requests within 10 business days of receiving them.
Please note that we do not control any mailing lists, phone call, or SMS campaigns sent by clients who use our software. You should contact the organization directly to correct or change the information they have about you or to unsubscribe from their mailing or call list. You may also remove yourself from any organization that you had previously joined in the WeVolunteer system.
